(2) Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes


This course aims to introduce students to research, including the types of research, the approach to scientific writing and also to give students an understanding of methodological challenges in empirical research.

Particular focus is placed in helping students to develop the skills to independently develop a scientific research design.

  • What is research, types and structure of research, difference between consulting and research

  • Scientific writing

  • In depth analysis of literature and the role of argument

  • Aims, objectives and hypothesis

  • Quantitative research methods

  • Qualitative research methods and mixed methods approach

  • Case Study research

  • Presenting the results and building a discussion

  • Case study
