Sylvaine Giakoumi

Research
My research focuses on 1) understanding the processes that shape marine communities exploring species interactions and the impacts of human uses on marine ecosystems; and 2) developing marine conservation planning approaches and the spatial prioritization of conservation actions in the marine environment and across realms. The two main axes of my research aim to inform policy and decision making on how to achieve effective and efficient conservation outcomes.
