Research
My research focuses on (a) marine biodiversity, with emphasis on taxonomy and biogeography of invertebrates, including non-indigenous species, (b) ecology of hard substrate benthic communities, and (c) biological resources, management and conservation of the marine environment. I am also involved in the development of biodiversity databases, citizen science initiatives, and methods for underwater research with scientific diving.
