Geology laboratory
The Laboratory of Geology can accommodate up to 30 students and it has been designed to host a series of hands-on exercises on several undergraduate courses such as Geology, Marine Sedimentology, Coastal Geology and Sediment Dynamics.
The lab also supports undergraduate Bachelor Thesis as well as Master and PhD thesis in Marine Geology, Marine Sedimentology and Coastal Morphodynamics, as well as research projects in the abovementioned fields.
It is equipped with high-accuracy electronic balances, sieves and motorized sieve shakers (for coarse sediment grain-size analysis), water baths (for fine-grained pipette analysis), microscopes and stereoscopes, and various instruments and consumables for physical properties analysis.
